Wind Velocity Calculator:
Enter the values of Wind Force F(Newton), Air density p(kg/m3) & Wind surface Area A(m2) to determine the value of Wind Velocity Vw(m/s).
Wind Velocity Formula:
The Wind Velocity Vw(m/s) in meter per second is equal to the SQRT of the value of 2 into multiply the Wind Force F(Newton) in Newton is divided by the Air density p(kg/m3) in kilogram per meter cube to multiply the Wind surface Area A(m2) in meter square.
The Formula of Wind Velocity can be writtern as,
Vw(m/s) = √ ( 2 * F(Newton) / ( p(kg/m3) * A(m2) ) )
Here,
Vw(m/s) = Wind Velocity in meter per second
F(Newton) = Wind Force in Newton
p(kg/m3) = Air density in kilogram per meter cube
A(m2) = Wind surface Area in meter square
Example problems for Wind Velocity:
1)Determine the Wind Velocity and given for Wind Force = 90N , Air density = 1.300kg/m3 , Wind surface Area = 25m2.
Answer
Vw = √ ( 2 * F / ( p * A ) )
Vw = √ ( 2 * 90 / ( 1.300 * 25 ) )
Vw = 2.35m/s.
2)Determine the Wind surface Area and given for Wind Force = 90N , Air density = 1.300kg/m3 , Wind Velocity = 2.35m/s.
Answer
Vw = √ ( 2 * F / ( p * A ) )
2.35 = √ ( 2 * 90 / ( 1.300 * A ) )
A = 25m2.
