West Bengal electricity Calculation:
In West Bengal state has two electricity supply sector such as West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) and Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation or CESC. Both companies are applying different tariff rates with different slaps. In that, CESE is the flagship company and the price per unit is higher than the WBSEDCL.
Let us see the West Bengal and CESE tariff rate for the year of 2020-21.
West Bengal Electricity Tariff Rate:
WBSEDCL has six tariff slaps such as, for the consumption of 1-102 unit, the consumer has to pay ₹ 5.37 per unit, for 103-180 units, the per unit charge will be ₹ 5.97/-, for 181-300 units the per unit charge will be ₹ 6.97/-, for 301-600 unit, the per unit cost will be ₹ 7.31/-, for 601-900 unit, the per unit cost will be ₹ 7.58 /- and 901 unit will be charges ₹ 8.99 per unit.
Also additionally, the consumer has to pay ₹ 15 as extra. Look at the WBSEDCL latest tariff rate for domestic LT consumers.

Let us consider you have used 1089 unit, calculate the total electricity bill as per WBSEDCL tariff rate.
Solution:
Here for first 102 units you have to pay ₹ 547.74 (102 x 5.37), for next 78 units you have tp pay ₹ 465.66 (5.97 x 78), for next 120 units you have to pay ₹ 836.4, for next 300 unit your bill amount is ₹ 2193/ -(7.31 x 300), for the next 300 units your bill amount is ₹ 2274/- (300 x 7.58) and for the next 189 unit you have to pay ₹ 1699.11 /- (189 x 8.99).
Hence finally your bill amount is ₹ 8030.91/-

CESC Electricity Tariff Rate:
CESC has seven tariff slaps and they charge for 0-25 units as unit price ₹ 4.89/-, for 26-60 units the per unit price will be ₹ 5.4, for the unit between 61 to 100, the per unit price will be ₹ 6.41/-, for the unit between 101-150, the per-unit cost will be ₹ 7.16, for unit 151 -200, the per unit cost will be ₹ 7.33. for 201-300 unit, the per-unit cost will be ₹ 7.33 and all above 301, the per unit cost will be ₹ 8.92.
CESC has ₹ 15 as fixed charges. It will be included at that time of billing.

Look at the two prices between WBSEDCL (₹ 8030.91/-) and CESC tariff (₹ 9078.03 /-), CESC is always higher than the WBSEDCL. So you will get loss ₹ 1048/- while using CESC electricity service.
