Wave Energy Calculator
Enter the values of Linear Density u(kg/m), Amplitude A2(m), Angular Frequency w2(Hz), Wavelength L(m) to determine the value of Wave Energy K(J) .
Wave Energy Formula
The Wave Energy K(J) in Joules is Equal to the 0.25 value into Multiply the Linear Density u(kg/m) in kilogram per meter and Multiply the Amplitude A(m) in meter is squared and Multiply the Angular Frequency w(Hz) in Hertz is squared and again Multiply the Wavelength L(m) in meter.
The Equation of Wave Energy can be written as,
K(J) = ¼ * (u(kg/m) * A2(m) * w2(Hz) * L(m))
Here,
K(J) = Wave Energy in Joules
u(kg/m) = Linear Density in kilogram per meter
A(m) = Amplitude in meter
w(Hz) = Angular Frequency in Hertz
L(m) = Wavelength in meter
Wave Energy Calculation:
1) Calculate the Wave Energy and given for the Linear Density = 100kg/m, Amplitude = 4m, Angular Frequency = 7Hz, Wavelength = 6m.
Answer
K = ¼ * (u * A2 * w2 * L)
K = 0.25 * (100 * 42 * 72 * 6)
K = 117600 Joules.
2) Calculate the Wavelength and given for the Linear Density = 100kg/m, Amplitude = 4m, Angular Frequency = 7Hz, Wave Energy = 117600 Joules.
Answer
K = ¼ * (u * A2 * w2 * L)
117600 = 0.25 * (100 * 42 * 72 * L)
L = 6meter.
