Water Velocity Formula:

The Water Velocity Vw(ft/s) in feet per second is equal to the Volumetric Water Flow Rate WFR(ft3/s) in feet cube per second is divided by the Cross-sectional Area A(ft2) in feet square.

Vw(ft/s) = WFR(ft3/s) / A(ft2)
