Truck Acceleration Formula:

The Truck Acceleration TA(m/s2) in meter per second square is Equal to the Force generated by the Engine FE(Newton) in Newton is Subtracted the Force of Drag FD(Newton) in Newton and is Divided by the Mass of the Truck m(kg) in kilogram.

The Formula of Truck Acceleration can be written as,

TA(m/s2) = ( FE(Newton) –  FD(Newton) ) / m(kg)

Here,

TA(m/s2) = Truck Acceleration in meter per second square

FE(Newton) = Force generated by the Engine in Newton

FD(Newton) = Force of Drag in Newton

1)Calculate the Truck Acceleration and given for Force generated by the Engine = 500N , Force of Drag = 150N , Mass of the Truck = 10kg.

Answer

TA = ( FE – FD ) / m

TA = ( 500 – 150 ) / 10

TA = 35m/s2.

2)Calculate the Mass of the Truck and given for Force generated by the Engine = 500N , Force of Drag = 150N , Truck Acceleration = 35m/s2.

Answer

TA = ( FE – FD ) / m

35 = ( 500 – 150 ) / m

m = 10kg.
