Radial Acceleration Calculator

Enter the values of  Tangential Acceleration At(m/s2) & Radius of Rotation r(m) to determine the value of Radial Acceleration Ar Ar(m/s2) .

Enter Maximum Voltage in Volts: m/s2
Enter Angular Frequency in Hertz: m

Result – Radial Acceleration Ar: m/s2

Radial Acceleration Formula

The Radial Acceleration Ar(m/s2) in meter per second square is equal to the Tangential Acceleration At(m/s2) in meter per second square and is Divided by the Radius of Rotation r(m) in meter.

The Formula of Radial Acceleration can be written as,

Ar(m/s2) = At(m/s2) / r(m)

Here,

Ar(m/s2) = Radial Acceleration Ar in meter per second square

At(m/s2) = Tangential Acceleration in meter per second square

r(m) = Radius of Rotation in meter

Radial Acceleration Calculation :

1)Calculate the Radial Acceleration and given for Tangential Acceleration = 260m/s2 , Radius of Rotation = 20m.

Answer

Ar = At / r

Ar = 260 / 20

Ar = 13m/s2.

2)Calculate the Radius of Rotation and given for Tangential Acceleration = 260m/s2 , Radial Acceleration = 13m/s2.
