Momentum Gain Calculator:
Enter the values of Mass of the Object m(kg), Final Velocity FV(m/s) & Initial Velocity IV(m/s) to determine the value of Momentum Gain pG(kg*m/s) .
Momentum Gain Formula:
The Momentum Gain pG(kg*m/s) in kilogram meter per second is equal to the Mass of the Object m(kg) in kilogram and multiply the Final Velocity FV(m/s) in meter per second is Subtracted by the Initial Velocity IV(m/s) in meter per second.
The Formula of Momentum Gain can be writtern as,
pG(kg*m/s) = m(kg) * (FV(m/s) – IV(m/s) )
Here,
pG(kg*m/s) = Momentum Gain in kilogram meter per second
m(kg) = Mass of the Object in kilogram
FV(m/s) = Final Velocity in meter per second
IV(m/s) = Initial Velocity in meter per second
Momentum Gain Calculation :
1)Calculate the Momentum Gain and given for Mass of the Object = 8kg , Final Velocity = 10m/s , Initial Velocity = 4m/s.
Answer
pG = m * ( FV – IV )
pG = 8 * ( 10 – 4 )
pG = 48kg*m/s.
2)Calculate the Initial Velocity and given for Mass of the Object = 8kg , Final Velocity = 10m/s , Momentum Gain = 48kg*m/s.
Answer
pG = m * ( FV – IV )
48 = 8 * ( 10 – IV )
IV = 4m/s.
