Magnitude of Acceleration Calculator, Formula, Magnitude of Acceleration Calculation

Magnitude of Acceleration Calculator:

Enter the values of X-Component of the Acceleration & Y-Component of the Acceleration  to determine the value of Magnitude of Acceleration A(m/s2) .

Enter X-Component of the Acceleration: m/s2
Enter Y-Component of the Acceleration: m/s2

Result – Magnitude of Acceleration: m/s2

Magnitude of Acceleration Formula:

The Magnitude of Acceleration A(m/s2) in meter per second square is equal to the SQRT of the x-Component of the Acceleration Ax(m/s2) in meter per second square and is squared to Addition of y-Component of the Acceleration Ay(m/s2) in meter per second square and is squared.

The Equation of Magnitude of Acceleration can be written as,

A(m/s2) = SQRT ( Ax2(m/s2) + Ay2(m/s2) )

Here,

A(m/s2) = Magnitude of Acceleration in meter per second square

Ax(m/s2) = x-Component of the Acceleration in meter per second square

Ay(m/s2) = y-Component of the Acceleration in meter per second square

Magnitude of Acceleration Calculation :

1)Calculate the Magnitude of Acceleration and given for x-Component of the Acceleration = 60m/s2 , y-Component of the Acceleration  = 40m/s2.

Answer

A = √ ( Ax2  + Ay2 )

A = √ ( 602 + 402 )

A = 72.11m/s2.

2)Calculate the y-Component of the Acceleration  and given for x-Component of the Acceleration = 60m/s2 , Magnitude of Acceleration = 72.11m/s2.

Answer

A = √ ( Ax2  + Ay2 )

72.11 = √ ( 602 + Ay2 )

Ay2 = 40m/s2.
