Linear Momentum Formula:

The Linear Momentum px(kg*m/s) in kilogram meter per second is equal to the Magnitude of the Velocity V(m/s) in meter per second and multiply the Angle of  Velocity a(degree) in degree and again multiply the Mass of the object m(kg) in kilogram.

The Equation of Linear Momentum can be writtern as,

px(kg*m/s) = V(m/s) * Cos (a(degree)) * m(kg)

Here,

px(kg*m/s) = Linear Momentum in kilogram meter per second

V(m/s) = Magnitude of the Velocity in meter per second

a(degree) = Angle of  Velocity in degree

m(kg) = Mass of the object in kilogram

1)Calculate the Linear Momentum and given for Magnitude of the Velocity = 40m/s , Angle of  Velocity = 45degree , Mass = 10kg.

Answer

px = V * Cos ( a ) * m

px = 40 * Cos ( 45 ) * 10

px = 210.12kg*m/s.

2)Calculate the Mass and given for Magnitude of the Velocity = 40m/s , Angle of  Velocity = 45degree , Linear Momentum = 210.12kg*m/s.

Answer

px = V * Cos ( a ) * m

210.12 = 40 * Cos ( 45 ) * m

m = 10kg.
