Gas Velocity Formula

The Gas Velocity Vgas(m/s) in meter per second is equal to the SQRT of the value of 3 into multiply the Gas Constant R(J/K-mol) = 8.3145 J/K-mol in joule per kelvin mol and multiply the Temperature T(kelvin) in Kelvin is divided by the Molar Mass M(kg/mol) in kilogram per mol.

The Formula of Gas Velocity can be writtern as,

Vgas(m/s) = SQRT ( 3 * R(J/K-mol) * T(kelvin) / M(kg/mol) )

Here,

Vgas(m/s) = Gas Velocity in meter per second

R(J/K-mol) = Gas Constant in joule per kelvin mol

T(kelvin) = Temperature in Kelvin

M(kg/mol) =  in kilogram per mol
