Elevator Acceleration Calculator, Formula, Elevator Acceleration Calculation

Elevator Acceleration Calculator:

Enter the values of Tension force of the Elevator T(Newton) , Elevator Mass m(kg) & Acceleration of gravity g(9.81m/s2) to determine the value of Elevator Acceleration EA(m/s2) .

Enter Tension Force of the Elevator: Newton
Enter Elevator Mass: kg

Result – Elevator Acceleration: m/s2

Elevator Acceleration Formula:

The Elevator Acceleration EA(m/s2) in meter per second square is equal to the Tension force of the Elevator T(Newton) in Newton and is Divided by the Elevator Mass m(kg) in kilogram and Subtracted by the Acceleration of gravity g(9.81m/s2) in meter per second square.

The Equation of Elevator Acceleration can be written as,

EA(m/s2) = T(Newton) / (m(kg) – g(9.81m/s2) )

Here,

EA(m/s2) = Elevator Acceleration in meter per second square

T(Newton) = Tension force of the Elevator in Newton

m(kg) = Elevator Mass in kilogram

g(9.81m/s2) = Acceleration of gravity in meter per second square

Elevator Acceleration Calculation:

1)Calculate the Elevator Acceleration and given for Tension force = 500N , Elevator Mass = 20kg , Acceleration of gravity = 9.81m/s2.

Answer

EA = T / ( m – g )

EA = 500 / ( 20 – 9.81 )

EA = 49.06m/s2.

2)Calculate the Elevator Mass and given for Tension force = 500N , Acceleration of gravity = 9.81m/s2, Elevator Acceleration = 49.06m/s2.

Answer

EA = T / ( m – g )

49.06 = 500 / ( m – 9.81 )

m = 20kg.
