Change in Momentum Formula:

The Change in Momentum dp(kg*m/s) in kilogram meter per second is equal to the Final Velocity Vf(m/s) in meter per second to subtracted by the Initial Velocity Vi(m/s) in meter per second and then multiply the Mass m(kg) in kilogram.

The Equation of Change in Momentum can be writtern as,

dp(kg*m/s) = ( Vf(m/s) – Vi(m/s) ) * m(kg)

Here,

dp(kg*m/s) = Change in Momentum in kilogram meter per second

Vf(m/s) = Final Velocity in meter per second

Vi(m/s) = Initial Velocity in meter per second

m(kg) = Mass in kilogram

dp = ( Vf – Vi ) * m

dp = ( 70 – 60 ) * 12

dp = ( Vf – Vi ) * m
