The Boat Acceleration BA(m/s2) in meter per second square is equal to the Force generated by the Motor FM(N) in Newton and is Subtracted to the Force of Drag from the water FD(N) in Newton and Divided by the Mass of the Boat mB(kg) in kilogram.

The Equation of Boat Acceleration can be written as,

BA(m/s2) = ( FM(N) –  FD(N) ) / mB(kg)

Here,

BA(m/s2) = Boat Acceleration in meter per second square

Answer

BA = ( FM – FD ) / mB

BA = ( 8000 – 2000 ) / 350

BA = 17.142m/s2.

2)Calculate the Mass of the Boat and given for Force generated by the Motor = 8000N , Force of Drag from the water = 2000N , Boat Acceleration = 17.142m/s2.

Answer

BA = ( FM – FD ) / mB

17.142 = ( 8000 – 2000 ) / mB

mB = 350kg.
