Support Force Formula:

Support force refers to the force that a support structure must exert to hold up objects against the force of gravity.

Support force, SF(N) in Newtons is equated by the product of sum of masses of the objects, M1(kg) and M2(kg) in kilograms and acceleration due to gravity, a(m/s2) in metres per second squared.

Support force, SF(N) = (M1(kg) + M2(kg)) * a(m/s2)

SF(N) = support force in Newtons, N.

M1(kg) + M2(kg) = masses of the objects in kilograms, kg.

a(m/s2)  = acceleration due to gravity in metres per second squared, m/s2, approximately 9.81m/s2 on the surface of the Earth.
