Energy to Force Calculator
Enter the values of energy, E(J) and distance, d(m) to determine the value of Force, F(N).
Energy to Force Formula
This concept relates to calculating the force exerted by an energy source over a certain distance.
Force, F(N) in Newtons is equated by dividing the energy, E(J) in joules and distance, d(m) in metres.
Force, F(N) = E(J) / d(m)
F(N) = force in Newtons, N.
E(J) = energy in joules, J.
d(m) = distance in metres, m.
Energy to Force Calculation:
- Calculate the force exerted when 200 Joules of energy is applied to move an object 50 metres.
Given: E(J) = 200J, d(m) = 50m.
Force, F(N) = E(J) / d(m)
F(N) = 200 / 50
F(N) = 4N.
- Force of 75 Newtons is used to apply 1500 Joules of energy. We want to find the distance over which the force was applied.
Given: E(J) = 1500J, F(N) = 75N.
Force, F(N) = E(J) / d(m)
d(m) = E(J) / F(N)
d(m) = 1500 / 75
d(m) = 20m.
