Vacuum Force Formula:

The vacuum force VF(lbf) in lbf is equal to the ambient pressure AP(psi) in Pounds per square inch into subtracted by the system pressure SP(psi) Pounds per square inch to multiply the effective vaccum area A(inches2) in inches square.

The equation of vacuum area can be writtern as,

VF(lbf) = ( AP(psi) – SP(psi) ) * A(inches2)

Here,

VF(lbf)  =  vacuum force in lbf

AP(psi)  =  ambient pressure in Pounds per square inch

SP(psi)  =  system pressure Pounds per square inch

A(inches2)  =  effective vaccum area in inches square

Answer

VF = ( AP – SP ) * A

VF = ( 80 – 2 ) * 10

VF = 780 lbf.

Answer

VF = ( AP – SP ) * A

780 = ( 80 – 2 ) * A
