Spring Velocity Formula: 

The Spring Velocity Vs(m/s) in meter per second is equal to the SQRT of Spring Constant k(N/m) in Newton per  Meter to multiply the Maximum Displacement x(m) in meter is divided by the Mass m(kg) in kilogram.

The Formula of Spring Velocity can be writtern as,

Vs(m/s) = √ ( k(N/m) * x2(m) / m(kg) )

Here,

Vs(m/s) = Spring Velocity in meter per second

k(N/m) = Spring Constant in Newton per Meter

x(m) = Maximum Displacement in meter

m(kg) = Mass in kilogram

Example Problems for Spring Velocity:

1)Calculate the Spring Velocity and given for Spring Constant = 6N/m , Maximum Displacement = 4m , Mass = 2kg.

Solution

Vs = √  ( k * x2 / m )

Vs = √  ( 6 * 42 / 2 )

Solution

Vs = √  ( k * x2 / m )

6.92 = √  ( 6 * 42 / m )

m = 2kg.
