Cruise Velocity Formula:

The Cruise Velocity Vc(m/s) in meter per second is equal to the Vertical velocity Vy(m/s) in meter per second to Addition of the Vertical velocity Vy(m/s) in meter per second to Subtracted by the Horizondal velocity Vx(m/s) in meter per second.

The Equation of Cruise Velocity can be writtern as,

Vc(m/s) = Vy(m/s) + ( Vy(m/s) – Vx(m/s) )

Here,

Vc(m/s) = Cruise Velocity in meter per second

Vy(m/s) = Vertical velocity in meter per second

Vx(m/s) = Horizondal velocity in meter per second

Cruise Velocity Calculation :

1)Calculate the Cruise Velocity and given for Vertical velocity = 80m/s , Horizondal velocity = 60m/s.

Answer

Vc = Vy + ( Vy – Vx )

Vc = 80 + ( 80 – 60 )

2)Calculate the Horizondal velocity and given for Vertical velocity = 80m/s , Cruise Velocity = 100m/s.

Answer

100 = 80 + ( 80 – Vx )

Vx = 60m/s.
