VAR to Amps Calculator:
Enter the reactive power, voltage then press the calculate button to get the reactive current in Amps
VAR to Amps calculation:
As you know VAR is the unit of reactive power and Amps is the unit of Electrical current. here the flow of reactive current in amps I(A) is equal to the reactive power Q(VAR) in VAR (Volt-Amp Reactive) divided by the product of line voltage V(V) in volts (divided by 1.732 times is for three-phase). Hence the formula for VAR to Amps can be written as,
For single phase
Reactive Current in Amps I(A) = Q(VAR) / V(V)
Three-phase,
Reactive Current in Amps I(A) = Q(VAR) / (1.732 x V(V))
VAR to Amps calculation:
Calculate the reactive current of a 25000 VAR capacitor bank is connected across 440 volts.
By using our formula,
Reactive current = 25000 / (1.732 x 440)
Reactive current I(A) = 32.8Amps.
Hence 25000 VAR capacitor banks can supply 32.8 Amps reactive current @ 440 Volts.
