Electric unit price in Odisha:

Odisha electricity tariff has two categories such as LT BPL and LT above BPL. Those consumers monthly average consumption is less than 30 units, then they will come into BPL (Below Poverty Line). And they will be charged ₹ 80/- only. They do not need to pay meter rent or per unit tariff rate etc.

The LT above BPL consumer should pay ₹ 2.9  for the first 0 to 50 units, ₹ 4.7 for the next 50-200 units, ₹ 5.7 for the next 200 to 400 units and ₹ 6.1 for the above 400 units. Additionally, the consumer has to pay ₹ 20 for metering rental charges and another ₹ 20 per kW per Month for fixed charges.

The entire LT domestic consumer could pay ₹ 0.05 paisa per unit as electricity Duty and for LT commercial consumer could pay 0.15 paisa per unit as electricity tax.

LT Commercial Per Unit Rate:

LT consumer shall pay ₹5.9 for their first 100 units, ₹7 for the next 200 units and ₹7.6 for the above 300 units. Also the consumer should pay 30 per kW per month as fixed charges.

Odisha Electricity Bill Calculation

Example:

Let we calculate the electricity bill for 467 units as per Odisha tariff rate 2025.

For first 50 units, you will pay ₹ 145/- (2.9 x 50), for next 150 units you will pay ₹ 705/- (4.7 x 150), for next 200 units you will pay ₹ 1140 /- (5.7 x 200) and for above 67 units you have to pay ₹408.7/- hence totally 2502.05 will be your electricity bill.
