Power rating in Mega Watt P_(MW) is equal to the 746 times of the horsepower divided by 10⁶. Or in short form 0.000746 times of horsepower is equal to megawatt. Hence for converting horsepower to megawatt you can use below-mentioned formula,

P_(MW) = 746 x P_(HP) / 1000000

MegaWatt = 0.000746 x Horse Power
